Lunar Nightmare

A bleeding torch so softly glows,
Against the moonlights silver bows,
Of lace so silky and so fine,
To bring about an earthly shine.

A lily dances with the winds of change,
Like sorrow seeping from its cage,
To diminish the torch however bright,
Whispering of deaths one delight.

The torch gives in to the sweet caresses,
Of the false security that night oppresses,
The yellow glow dies down in smoke,
While the soft humming begins to evoke.

A sense of numbness and of fear,
A sense of losing all that’s dear,
A bleeding torch held once alive,
Gives in once more to slowly die.
